So I’m a blush fiend. This is NO secret. I own way too much and oddly enough still buy more (actually, that’s not quite that odd if you’ve been reading this blog for a while…lol). Blush does SO much for the face—it brightens, sculpts the cheeks, makes you look more alert, and for me no makeup look I create is complete without blush. Don’t be scared—read through my blush archives to see some of my blush tips, reviews, and swatches. And for my fellow darker skin toned beauties, the brighter the blush the better (don’t side eye me—it’s the truth—try it).

ANYWAY. A little while ago NYX Cosmetics sent over a few things for review consideration which included some blushers. I also bought one myself and figured—hey, let’s do a NYX Cosmetics High Definition Blush mini post :)

So a quick overview because honestly there isn’t a ton to say here other than these are amazing with the pigmentation, will get you through a good majority of the day with color still on your cheeks (I still had a great glow even after 8 hours—but these are so inexpensive and easy to tote that you can carry them in your makeup bag for touch-ups).

Double Dare

A bright matte orange (I can’t remember if this arrived broken or if I broke it—knowing me, I probably dropped it and broke it). Colors like this are amazing on deeper skin tones but also work well on lighter skin tones with a light hand. For those that are fair, there are better blush options on the lighter spectrum.

Bitten

A shimmery brick red. This is great on virtually all skin tones—as is on darker skin, but will need a much lighter hand on lighter skin tones. For those that are fair, there are better blush options on the lighter spectrum.

Tuscan

A soft red pink. Another color that would work well on a wide range of skin tones but will need a lighter hand for lighter tones. For those that are fair, there are better blush options on the lighter spectrum.

Bottom line: Not surprisingly, NYX Cosmetics High Definition Blush is another great item from the brand. Great performance and an even greater price point.

Price and where to buy: $6.50 each at nyxcosmetics.com.

I recently picked up 3 of these but now I think I want these shades too lol. Especially the orange! I love orange blushes and my local Target was sold out of most shades. I have to find it!
