Lexi and Danielle’s Pre-NYE Fashion and Beauty Bash Recap

Any time I travel to a new city, I think of who I know in said city and try to link up for eats (yep, it’s ALWAYS about the eats with me…lol). Back in 2010 I met a bunch of my Atlanta-area peeps for dinner and kept in touch throughout the year. Since I knew I’d be in Georgia again for the 2011 winter holidays, I joined together with fab hair blogger Lexi with the Curls because I knew I wanted to do an event while visiting. We wound up doing two! (The other being a fun blogger event at TJ Maxx). It was a great turn out with tons of Atlanta fashion, beauty, and hair bloggers along with the city’s most fashionable citizens. I had LOADS of fun meeting new folks ;)

The fab event took place at Sole Atlanta in Atlantic Station. The boutique features the latest and greatest in shoe designs and fashions along with a big dose of southern hospitality from the store’s owner and staff. Like seriously, you walk into this place and there’s non-stop shoes and clothes—you don’t know what to touch and look at first…lol.

Guests sipped on Magners hard cider champagne and noshed on delicious treats from Popcorn Indiana.

There was also three fashion shows featured styles from Sole Atlanta. The models’ makeup was done by yours truly ;)

I look crazy in the background but do you see the model’s brow? I filled them in with a slanted eyeliner brush and a matte eyeshadow. Milani provided makeup both for the models and some of our guests. I used Milani Baked Blush in Red Vino, Milani Glitz Glamour Gloss in First Class, Milani Liquif-eye Metallic Eyeliner Pencil in Aqua, and Milani Bronzer XL All Over Glow.

Those who were early to RSVP received fab swag bags filled with Miss Jessie’s Super Slip Sudsy Shampoo, Miss Jessie’s Curly Pudding, Miss Jessie’s Baby Buttercreme, a fabulous makeup bag filled to the brim with makeup from Milani Cosmetics, Goody Double Wear Headbands (super cute headbands that double as necklaces), Goody Double Wear Elastics (double as ponytail holders and chic bracelets), candles from Yum Yum Candle (it’s almost a sin how good their products smell), Shea Moisture Organic Shea Butter Soap Bars, and Specific Beauty Exfoliating Cleansing Cloths. Guests also had opportunities to win one of three Clarisonic Mia Cleansing Systems as well as super swag bags filled with beauty items.

Thanks to our sponsors!

Me handing out raffle tickets for the giveaways (I clearly REALLY enjoy handing out raffle tickets…lol)
