Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit. Yes, Ma’am!

Read ALL about my review process including how I take swatches, photos, and more here.

On a sleepy Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago, I found myself at my local Bloomingdale’s a few minutes before closing. I didn’t need anything–which is a very dangerous thing when it’s close to closing and you’re in the beauty level at Bloomingdale’s. SMH.

Anyway, I found myself at the Bobbi Brown counter where I often find myself on countless occasions using Jedi mind tricks to will them into carrying more neutral undertones in their foundation range so that I could try them (they go pretty deep, but the dark shades have too much red for me). Because do you know anyone who hasn’t had something positive to say about Bobbi’s foundations? Right.

So anyway, I nosed my way around checking out the concealers (because I hear they are the things dreams are made of) and found a shade that would give my under eye area the right amount of brightening without making me look like Tyrone Biggums (uh, click and scroll down on that one). It’s creamy so it blends well and the Chestnut shade has the right amount of honey yellow in it to give me a lit from within look. If only I could smize.

Here’s a before and after (click to enlarge). I always feel these aren’t fair because I have no clue how to recreate the same lighting and positioning of my head in both pics so there isn’t any tampering…lol.

There’s also a Sheer Finish Pressed Powder that accompanies the kit to set the concealer. I usually skip this because the pale yellow color can be a little chalky on my skin especially in photos. Btw, they all come with the Pale Yellow powder–sheesh, can we get a Pale Honey powder for Chestnut, please?

Bottom line: This is worth a skip around the Bobbi Brown counter to see if there’s a match for you (it comes in 14 shades). It helps to brighten dark circles and make you look more alert, but it won’t turn a miracle—deep lines and wrinkles won’t all of a sudden disappear, but you will look better.

Yikes—oh, no, Britney! lol. I’d go and exchange it because it’ll look even more off in photos :/

Awww…sucks that the foundations get too red in the darker tones. I’ve used the BB stick in Beige for years—just use it where I need it and set with powder—and LOVE it.

I know, right, Pat! Glad you found a BB foundation you love. I’ll still be here waiting and wishing (like I don’t have 23,098 foundations already smh).
