When Al Gore created the internet, he surely forgot to include a chill button. Surf social media enough and you’ll know that the internet is very chill deficient. But among all the un-chill, there’s a gazillion brilliant minds behind some of the funniest memes and posts on the net. How people are able to come up with these things and the speed at which they do it is completely fascinating. I completely believe that if the internet funneled all that energy for good, we’d have a cure for every disease imaginable. The climate crisis would be averted. Man would live on all nine planets. There would be no world hunger.
And the latest theme to have me in hysterics is #makeuptransformation. It trended for hours last night on Twitter and provided me countless LOLs and lost hours of productivity. We know the power of makeup—it personally helps me go from a tired looking teenaged boy to a functioning member of society. And yes, it can get a bad rep because it can seem deceiving to those who don’t appreciate the art. But as usual, get the internet involved and there’s bound to be some gut-busting moments. Idk what started this trend, but I’m glad it did. I looked on instagram for hours cracking up! There were a couple you had that I had not seen. The white boy into Beyonce made me literally scream. I loved the MJ to Kris Jenner as well. A lot of them you try to guess who they would be beforehand. This was the best hashtag of the year thus far.
