Quick Review: Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette on Dark Skin

Super quick review on the new Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette as this palette is no different from other Urban Decay Naked palette in terms of quality and performance. I’ve reviewed almost all of the other Urban Decay palettes here (1 vs 2 vs 3) and here (Naked Heat) and Naked Cherry is right along with them on the great quality and long-wearing performance both with and without a primer.

Urban Decay sent Naked Cherry over for review consideration.

So this palette is pretty enough—rosy and pinky shades that work amazingly on virtually all skin tones, but it is very skippable. I liked it, but none of the colors stood out enough for me to want to buy something like this for my stash.

I also received the other items from the Naked Cherry collection from Urban Decay. I no longer have the blush & highlight palette and the lipsticks, but the blush in the palette was too light to show up well on deeper skin like mine (which makes the entire palette not worth buying for me even if the highlighter shades were nice) and I wasn’t here for the lipstick shades. The lipsticks have gold flecks in them that I don’t like.

I LOVE Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Pencils because they offer a nice creamy, long-wearing and waterproof formula. This collection comes with two: Black Market (which if you look at the video demo above you’ll see I didn’t like it because it wasn’t deep enough to really define my eyes like I like—I much prefer my regular Perversion liner for that) and Love Drug, which is a gorgeous deep wine metallic but not something you can’t mimmic with using one of the shadows in the palette and an eyeliner brush.

There’s a cherry-scented All Nighter Makeup Spray which actually smells kind of nice. I used to use makeup sprays like it was my job, but haven’t used one in forever because with the right skincare, primer, and makeup, I can have my makeup last. Read more about this here and in my primer post here. I noticed no big difference in using the All Nighter spray, so I would pass. A lot of people love and swear by it though, so *shrugs*.
