AT LEAST 17 Eye Makeup Looks You Can Do with the Jackie Aina x ABH Palette

Read ALL about my review process including how I take swatches, photos, and more here.

Beloved beauty guru Jackie Aina collaborated with eyeshadow palette mavens Anastasia Beverly Hills on a makeup palette that in true Jackie form will SNATCH YOUR DAMN EDGES. Good thing there’s a shade in the palette called edges ;)

I love Jackie—she’s a makeup master, she’s gorgeous, she’s HILARIOUS (can’t tell you how many times I’ve nearly choked while consuming food and beverage when watching one of her Youtube videos), and HONEY SURE KNOWS HOW TO PUT A PALETTE TOGETHER, OKAY?!?!

Let me tell you something—Ms. Aina had those of us with medium brown to dark brown skin tones in mind when she created this palette—yes, anyone can wear it, but I love that it was created with us in mind. I bought a palette when it was available on the ABH site because I wanted to support, but also received one in PR.

Listen honey, this is the palette that keeps on giving. You feel like you see all 14 shades when you look at it, but you don’t SEE THEM see them. First, there are duochromes (a phenomenon where a shadow flashes two or more colors depending on the lighting and angle you look at it from), then there’s the fact that you could seriously have this palette ON REPEAT because you realize there are more looks than you thought. I found at least 17 color combos you can do from this palette. Obviously there are tons more (if you’re good at computing permutations, you might come up with a much bigger number), but I stopped at 17 because I’d literally only be looking at this palette for the rest of the weekend, and I’ve got things to do. You know, like wear this palette and go places where people can see me wearing this palette.

Check out my Youtube video below for my first impressions and other thoughts I have on this palette. I also did a pretty look involving Wiggalese that is a debatable work-look (depends on where you work).

Bottom line: The Jackie Aina x ABH palette is one of my favorite palette launches this year. I love that every single color works on my deeper skin tone and I love how excited it makes me to create eye makeup looks. The quality is amazing as to be expected with Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes. If these colors sing to your spirit, I think it’s worth getting or at least swatching in person when it lands in Sephora, Ulta, and other retail stores on 8/15/19. If you’re not in the U.S., this palette will also launch online worldwide on 8/15/19.

Price and where to buy: $45 currently available only at ABH through 8/15/19.

I was going to wait until it was at Sephora but I really wanted the PR packaging so I ordered today with Express shipping. I cannot wait to get this. I don’t need another palette but this color combination is really unique and the fact that it is brown girl friendly means I need to to have it

Thank you for the combo suggestions. I’m a novice with eyeshadow and have not mastered how to put colors together and blend well, etc., but I keep practicing. I have been thinking about purchasing this palette since first hearing about it. I told myself that I don’t need another. I have more than enough palettes from Boxycharm and some I have received as gifts. After seeing all of the great reviews and now your suggestions, I have to purchase. Thank you for taking the time to put this together.?

you’re welcome!!! did you wind up getting it? I honestly wish this palette came out waaaaay sooner. I could easily eliminate a bunch of palettes I have with this one.

Thank you so much for this list. I love makeup but I’m not the most creative when trying to create combinations with a palette. I normally only use 2-3 colors and it begins to feel like a waste. So love the cheat sheet and to know that the combos will work on my ebony skin is awesome!!
