22 NARS Blush, Eyeshadow, Multiple, and Bronzer Swatches on NW 47 Skin

****EDIT: better quality swatches are here. See all Makeup Swatches on this site here.*****

When I posted on our Facebook page for post requests, The Style and Beauty Doctor reader Temidayo asked for makeup swatches, namely on darker skin. And I finally found some time to oblige! In fact I plan on swatching my entire collection but will do it in stages.

First things first, I am SOOO not a photographer. I can’t figure out my digital camera settings so these were taken on my Blackberry…lol. Also, these swatches come from both my personal stash and my kit so since I have clients of all skin tones, not all of these shades are the best for my skin tone (as you can see from the pics).

Also, many of the shades are applied heavily so they would show up better in pics. You can sheer them out so they don’t look so “powerful”.

But sadly no matter how many times I tried I could not get Night Clubbing, Night Fever, and Mekong eyeshadows to photograph how they look in person. And it’s a shame because all three are GORGEOUS highly pigmented, deep fall sparkly shades. *sigh*

So anyway, onto the swatches. Let me know if this is helpful at all. Obviously not all of you are my skin tone, but still let me know if this helped any.

And if you need help picking out NARS Blushes for your skin tone, check out NARS Blush Guide for All Skin Tones.

****EDITED: I found 2 more blushes in my purse I forgot about…lol. Added them plus a comparison between NARS Gilda and Illamasqua Excite.******

****EDITED AGAIN: found Taj Mahal in another purse…lol*****

****I swear this is the last edit: adding Taos and Outlaw****

Hi, can Sertao be used as a blush on NC50/NW50 skin? Thanks!

    • October 2, 2010 / 3:33 pm

      Hey Tina!

Sertao would be more of a blush highlight (used on the tops of the cheekbones) on NC50/NW50 skin. If you haven\’t already, look at the brighter colors like Taos, Mata Hari, Exhibit A, etc. They look soooo GOOD on darker skin :)
