10 Minutes with Danielle: Trinidad Diary Day Two: Lost in Tobago

So because both flight and accommodations for three days, two nights were just $132 a piece, Jess and I hit Tobago! This actually was my first time and after being here for a day, I don’t want to leave! We took a Caribbean airlines flight (just $48 USD each) and in twenty minutes we were on the gorgeous sister island of Trinidad.

We booked an apartment in Tranquil Guest House after seeing an amazing deal on Priceline. The owner Norma is absolutely the best. Prompt on emails and very friendly and accommodating—like to the point where I was asking myself if she was related to me…lol. And the space? Absolutely beautiful—full kitchen with stove, refrigerator, gorgeous bedroom and living room and it’s all within walking distance from Buccoo Beach and Grafton Bay.

In fact after we settled in, we attempted to head to the beach but one of the guard dogs for the houses along the way was not having it. Like at all. Like this dog straight up bullied us and wouldn’t let us pass—we feared he’d jumped the gate and then how would we be able to jump up for Carnival with dog bites?

Dog aside, we did get to walk around a bit and girl, the eye candy was back. Don’t be surprised if I come back engaged. Just so many great-looking guys with nice conversation—I mean, a girl is in heaven out here. Nothing like being in style, honey—I may spend my time between here and in the southern states of the U.S…lol.

Today’s plans are to hit the beach for real and I’m gonna see if I can try horseback riding and maybe rock climbing if they have it. Wish me luck ;)

P.S. Things that got me through the day…
*Cover FX Total Cover Cream foundation—amazing how it works well even in 90 degree heat.
*Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer—waterproof and thank goodness I got both shades 18 and 20—you’ll want two different shades when you’re on vacation and need to accommodate for your new tan.
*Toni&Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray—for a quick hair change—I washed my hair this morning and wanted beachy waves so I spritzed a little in my hair and went off on my way.
*Um, the eye candy. Duh.
*Dove Go Fresh Restore Body Wash—as hot as it is here, I want to make sure I’m keeping fresh (love the blue fig and orange blossom scent) and that my skin still feels pampered :)

(in the pic I’m wearing Echelon Hair in Deep Wavy—only wearing it like a week, but so far so good–review will come later on once I’ve had a chance to really wear it; lips are Iman Cosmetics Taboo mixed with Milani Cosmetics Lip Intense in Violet Addict; foundation is my Cover FX faves)

The eye candy is pretty amazing. Especially the eye candy we saw on the beach today, lol. Still frightened from that dog. I love how we never went back that way. Great post!
