I love what a hooded dryer can do for me—roller sets at home, thoroughly dries my braids when I’m wearing weave, and is great when I’m using any deep conditioning treatments. Only thing is sometimes sitting underneath it and trying to simply sit at the computer and work (which I’m always trying to do) can be cumbersome. I used to have one of those heated caps, but could only use it for deep conditioners and nothing else really. Then White Sands’ PR sent over their Dryer Bonnet, an attachment that instantly turns your blow dryer into a hooded dryer. I HAD to give it a whirl.

This flexible, soft bonnet is not only easy to attach but provides even heat distribution to avoid hot spots and increase total comfort. The Dryer Bonnet is ideal for hot oil treatments, pin curls, roller sets, deep conditioning masks and any other hair service or product requiring heat. The bonnet also folds flat for easy storage and even travel.

I found that the Dryer Bonnet was really easy to attach—I tried it on three of my blow dryers (you want the nozzle type ones) and it fit well on all of them. The “hood” part has a drawstring so you can adjust it to fit your head.

I really loved it! I used it to dry my hair a bunch of times (I’m currently wearing weave which is notorious for taking long to dry) and found that it got my hair completely dry quicker than any other hooded dryer I’ve ever used. In case you’re wondering, I piled all the hair on the top of my head and secured with a butterfly clip and then put the Dryer Bonnet on top.

You definitely want to make sure as the company advised me, to use a low heat setting. Don’t worry, your hair will still get dry pretty quickly even on the lower heat setting—but you definitely don’t want to put it on high because it can get too hot very quickly. I also loved that it could get my hair dry faster on a lower setting.

And not to mention, this is PERFECT for travel. You can easily fold the Dryer Bonnet down into a small square and stick it in your purse. This is great if you plan on going away for a longer period of time or if you plan on swimming and want to get a good conditioning treatment in after to protect your hair from chlorine.

Bottom line: Definite must-try if you typically use hooded dryers. I’ll be using mine often.

LOL! It’s great though—I can get my hair dried faster AND on a lower heat setting! win/win :)

This is great! I can get a weave and take care of it myself at home. Nice!
