Wear this to Work Tomorrow: The Stylish “Suit”

stylish suit work outfit idea

Happy Wear to Work Wednesday!!!

So I have suit in quotes here because this week’s Fashion at Work inspo isn’t a suit in the traditional sense of the word—these pieces didn’t come together—they’re not even sold at the same stores…lol. But this was a fashionable nod to the work suit and goes to show you can really mix things up with your work wardrobe if you maximize your pieces.

You can’t see it, but the trousers in this look are ankle length which I LOVE paired with the ankle booties. Funny how I’m advocating ankle pants when I spent a good chunk of my childhood and teens being traumatized by pants that were too short for my tall frame…lol. But they now make ankle length hems in tall sizes and they look very chic when paired with a good shoe.

Shop the look in the widget below: (boots in outfit are Gucci—I put some of its more affordable cousins in the widget)

Note about these Outfit Idea posts: I use Polyvore to create them and only use clothing that doesn’t have models wearing them and that are visually appealing. Sometimes the exact item isn’t available or is SO super ridiculous expensive. I’ll always put the exact item when available in the widget, but I also include other similar options—if the exact item isn’t available, please shop from similar items. I also try to include options in different sizes and price ranges when available.

      Heyyy!!!

Glad you love the tips! You can click on the Fashion at Work or Wear to Work Wednesday hyperlinks in this post to see past outfit ideas from the various seasons including winter. If you wind up seeing something you like that isn’t completely winter, you can layer tights and thin tees underneath as well as cardigans on top to make it work.
