statement blouse work outfit idea

Happy first Wear to Work Wednesday of 2018!!!

If you’re new, just about every Wednesday I post outfit inspiration for the working woman. The inspo runs the gamut from stylish suits to business casual, so you might have to tweak looks to suit your particular industry and dress code. You can check out past Fashion at Work outfit ideas here.

This week’s look features a statement blouse. I love a good statement blouse because some times it can take the place of a suit jacket and you can wear it on the weekend.

  1. I love the look. I would love to try a statement blouse but I’m afraid it would add too much bulk to my top half. But then again that’s what dressing rooms are for lol!

You can have the “statement” on the sleeves or on the hem line of the shirt so that it doesn’t add bulk. Or try a wrap top with things like statement frills or a cool cuff—wrap tops can help slim because of the diagonal line they make.
