I personally don’t need anymore concealer but has that ever stopped me from buying and trying something new? Nope. LOL. I was in Sephora on Saturday (I popped in while Verizon was getting a rice grain that got embedded in my charger port after I put my iPhone in a bag of it trying to get rid of a water stain—the stain is still there but at least the rice is gone…lol) and was only in there for a new liquid liner but breezed by the Dior display only to walk back and pick up the Diorskin Star Concealer.

Diorskin Star Concealer is a liquid that dries down to a natural finish—not dewy, not extremely matte. It features a doe tipped applicator that I use to add 2-3 little dots on my under eye area (you can also apply it on the lid like I did in the picture below) and then I use either my ring finger or my beautyblender to blend it out. Mocha is the perfect shade to help brighten my naturally discolored under eye area—like many women of color, my eye area is naturally darker than some parts of my face as opposed to true dark circles. You can see what other shades I wear in foundations and concealers here. It has the perfect amount of honey undertones in it to cancel out the darkness while still blending in with my skin tone. The brightening is noticeable straight away, too making it look like you slept really, really, REALLY well. I set mine with Cover FX Matte Setting Powder but just about any setting powder in your stash should do.

I have a few creases and lines under my eyes and thankfully Diorskin Star Concealer didn’t make them look more obvious by settling in them. I got coverage under my eyes all day (I had it on for a little over 8 hours before having to take it off because it was time to go to bed but it was still going strong before I took it off). I think the formula is perfect if you have slight to medium discoloration (or shoot, if you’re lucky enough to not have any discoloration around the eyes but just want a little brightening), but if you have severe discoloration, texture (lines and/or wrinkles), you might need something more potent and in that case brands like Estee Lauder, Laura Mercier, etc make heavier ones and you can look through my concealer posts to see which ones I’ve tried and reviewed.

Here’s a before and after on me—I have on no other makeup except for brows. My brows only look severe because I have on no other eye makeup…lol.

Ooo this looks nice and natural! I’ve been hearing nothing but rave reviews about this line so I guess it’s time for me to get a sample or two lol

Picked this up based on your review and I love it! Nice consistency and good enough coverage for me. I have been searching for an underage concealer that I can wear alone because I’m not too big on foundation.
