50 Shades of Lipstick (As Demonstrated on Me) Part 5: The Plums and the Vamps

plum vampy lipstick on dark skin danielle gray the style and beauty doctor

We’re on the last 10 lipsticks of the 50 Shades of Lipstick series! So if you’re just coming into this thing, here’s a quick recap: I did a shoot with my pal Nas of Nasilele Photography (who is awesome at wedding, family, school, and just because photos) in one sitting and put the lip shades on back to back; my lips were on FIRE after about the first 7 or 8 shades; the makeup is the same in all of these and you can get the breakdown here; I did this because while I’m not presentable to the public when testing a good 80% of the products that come through here for the blog, I do understand that many of you find it easier to pick out lipstick shades for yourself when you see it on; feel free to share these pics on Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, etc. but PLEASE link back to this post and tag me; I have the obnoxious “watermark” on all of these because I once had someone steal 37 of my blog posts and used submitted them to submit her blog to a magazine’s beauty blogger contest; I tried to show a good range of nudes, reds, pinks, and plums in this series so even if a particular shade you’re thinking about isn’t listed, you can still use this as a guide as I’m sure there’s a dupe for your shade in here. Phew! I think that sums it up. See parts 1-4 here.

I don’t wear it that often and I think I wore something similar to it from Milani in the last bunch of pics.

You can always make your own list and add your faves if you love Rebel that much :)

We are on the same wavelength – I own Tom Ford’s Black Orchid and Nars Train Bleu. I love Milani’s Sangria and Black Cherry too. The Amour Beauty lip gloss looks fantastic on you!
