Quick Review: The SUPER Lightweight boscia Sake Balm

So here’s the thing: sometimes there’s A LOT that needs to be said about a product and sometimes I can break it on down in a quick review. In the case of boscia Sake Balm (recently sent for review consideration) I can state my case rather quickly.

So first things first boscia Sake Balm may be unlike many other moisturizers you’ve tried. It has a unique gel texture that looks like jello in the container and then it turns into something that looks water-based once you massage it into the skin. It’s SUPER lightweight yet packs a punch with its blend of ingredients that help aid in brightening and evening the skin with overnight results in some cases.

boscia Sake Balm Official description:

Sake Balm is a deeply hydrating and brightening, gel-textured moisturizer that makes the skin instantly bounce back from dullness and dryness to a luscious, dewy, glowing complexion. The innovative blending of ingredients allows Sake Balm to deeply penetrate the skin to provide immediate moisturizing, brightening, and firming benefits—causing the skin to visibly bounce back with hydration and luminosity while promoting exfoliation, reducing the look of wrinkle depth, and improving skin texture.

Typically when the weather starts to drop, I switch to slightly heavier more hydrating night moisturizers (I have oily skin) to counter all that cold and dry weather that hits NYC. What I like about this is it’s very hydrating but SUPER light. I also notice a change in my skin’s radiance as early as the next morning after using it which is great for the winter since the skin’s cells turnover at a much slower rate in the colder months which can cause the skin to look dull (another good reason to also exfoliate to rid the skin of the excess dead skin cells). You use boscia Sake Balm on clean skin after your serums and treatment products or you can use it on its own (after cleansing).

Bottom line: If you’re looking for a more hydrating night moisturizer with a lightweight feel AND can use the extra radiance boost, it’s worth a whirl. But like I say with skincare products like these, try before you buy. You can get a sample of this at Sephora before adding the full size product to your stash.

Price and where to buy: $46 at Sephora (plus 4% cash back when you use eBates)
