Wear this to Work Tomorrow: Fall Transition Like a Boss

wear to work fall transition outfit idea

September in NYC can be funny. It might also be funny in other cities, but I am talking what I know from experience…lol. Anyway, in some Septembers we’ve seen temps that are much more humid and hot than it was the entire summer. Some Septembers we’ve seen mild temperatures pretty early on. Or like this September it starts out cool and then out of nowhere we’re back in the 80s. How’s a girl supposed to dress for this?!?!

THANK GOODNESS for layers! One of the best things you can do during this transition time (besides making sure you check the weather incessantly) is to layer. Wearing a comfy (yet stylish) blouse that is appropriate enough to be worn on its own (do NOT get written up for dress code violations, thank you very much) and carry a blazer or tailored sweater to wear over it. Don’t be afraid to play around with color either. Sure office neutrals like navy, khaki, grey, and of course black are good to have, but mix it up with colors like marigold, hunter green, magenta, etc.
