Beauty Products I’ve Finished Recently (Vol 8): Mane Choice Fro the Culture, Head & Shoulders Royal Oils, & More!

I’ve finished some products recently and will share why they were good to the last drop. Now remember, as I’ve said in previous posts like this, just because I didn’t finish a product doesn’t mean it’s not a good product. I also get a ton of product in from brands so there are products that are amazing but that I don’t get around to finishing because either it’s not something I need to use daily or because I have a gazillion others like it.

Let’s get into this post though…

Also, I didn’t finish all of these at the same time—I save empties so that I have enough to make a decent well-rounded post.

Hair

The Mane Choice Do it “Fro” the Culture Powerful Shampoo

I. LOVE. THIS. LINE. My fave product from the line is the Do It Fro The Culture Bold Buttery Gel—it gives me the most AMAZING hold for my twist-outs that last for daaaaaays without me needing to retwist. I love how everything smells like cake (I’m a sucker for hair products that smell like food…lol) and loved how the shampoo got my hair clean without stripping it of its oils.

Head & Shoulders Royal Oils Daily Moisture Scalp Cream

This is what, my like third of fourth bottle of this I’ve finished? THIS STUFF IS AMAZING! I wrote about it here if you want to see a hair timeline and see what else I love from the Royal Oils line. But using this scalp cream in my routine has greatly reduced itching (remember, we ALL already have the fungus that causes dandruff on our scalp).

Pantene Gold Series Leave-On Detangling Milk

Another line I love—check out my previous review on Pantene Gold here. I often finish products from this line—I love it because it’s not expensive, smells amazing, and leaves my 4C hair feeling super moisturized. You can see how I use the Detangling Milk in my routine here.

Pantene Gold Series Hydrating Butter Creme

Yup—another Pantene Gold product! You can see how I use it in my routine here.

Skincare

Olay Sun Facial Sunscreen SPF 35 Shine Control

There’s maybe a teeny bit left in this bottle and I will be SQUEEZING it all out (even though I have a replacement waiting—I want my money’s worth even though the first one was sent to me…lol). I have been talking about this in tons of content on my Youtube channel, my Instagram, my Instagram stories, etc. I love this because it feels weightless on the skin, doesn’t leave a white cast, and helps control shine while also allowing my makeup to last even longer (even in Mexico). You can wear this on its own or over your moisturizer.

Olay Luminous Micellar Water

Another fave—this might be my third bottle I’ve finished. I love it as a third step in my cleansing routine—especially when I have my edges laid and don’t want to be splashing a bunch of water near them. When wearing makeup, I’ll use a cleansing oil to remove it (typically boscia Makeup Breakup Cleansing Oil), a cream or gel based cleanser, and then I’ll use a cotton pad saturated with Olay Luminous Micellar Water to make sure I remove any traces of makeup, dirt, and oil around particularly around my hairline.

Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream Fragrance Free

This has been my go-to night cream for almost two years now. I love that it’s filled with niacinamide (aka vitamin B3) which aids in evening the skin tone, helps reduce the signs of aging, helps smooth wrinkles, etc. What I love is how this moisturizer has aided in giving my skin amazing radiance and retaining its smooth texture while only costing like $20. I used to buy $70+ moisturizers before trying this :x

Murad Resurgence Retinol Youth Renewal Serum

I LOVE the Murad Resurgence line and what it does to improve skin’s texture and tone. This serum has helped to really keep my skin smooth and even (serums penetrate deep into the skin in a way that moisturizers don’t)—I slather it on my face, neck, and chest at night before applying my Olay Regenerist moisturizer.

Murad Resurgence Renewing Cleansing Cream

Though I have oily skin, as I get older, I’m not trying to zap every ounce of oil out of it. I like that this cleanser gets my skin clean without stripping it of its oils. I typically use it year-round, but once I start to see breakouts coming through (as I have this summer), I switch to the Murad Time Release Acne Cleanser.

Body

Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion SPF 50+

I JUST bought this for summer travel (see what else I bought for my summer travel beauty bag here) and it’s already finished…lol. I used this as a body SPF though. I LOVE the scent—which is why I used it on my body—and how it sinks in immediately without leaving a white cast. It’s also because of the fragrance why I haven’t yet used it on my face—sometimes fragrance in facial products cause a reaction to my skin and I didn’t want to chance it. But I LOVED this on my body.

Makeup

NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer

I use shade Amande to highlight (see what other shades I wear in complexion products here and here). I love how easy this is to blend, the color (a golden undertone) is perfect for my highlight shade, and it holds up very well no matter the circumstance. I also re-bought this (forgetting that I also bought a bunch of Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealers in Golden from a sale…lol)

L’Oreal Brow Stylist Definer

This is likely my tenth Brow Stylist Definer—I LOVE this product! I already have a good amount of brow hair (side effect of being very hairy on the face…lol) but I like this in shade Brunette to fill in the sparse areas and define my brows more. See a video demo of it in action here.

And that’s that for now! Now it’s your turn…

Tell me a beauty product you’ve finished recently in the comments!
