Heyyyy new followers! So happy you found this site and I hope you continue to follow along. Make sure you’re subscribed to this blog so you don’t miss any FAB updates and also subscribe to my Youtube channel.

So let me give you a quick intro about me. I’m Danielle, a New Yawker born and bred and I know A LOT about fashion and beauty…lol. I started this blog back in 2007 when I was working in the financial services sales field and DESPERATELY needed a creative outlet. I got my BBA in Marketing from Hofstra University in 2003, but also got a Certificate in Image Consulting from the Fashion Institute of Technology back in 2006. I decided to start an image consulting service where I helped my clients look their best through wardrobe and makeup consultations. I started this blog (which was way different than what you see today…lol) as a tool to get more image consulting clients and grow my business. Then one day I decided I could reach WAY more people if I switched gears a bit and made the site more of an image consulting guide for the masses. I have posts (and now videos) on how to dress for your body type, the best makeup colors for your skin tone, and tips and tricks on the latest in beauty and fashion. In recent years I’ve also included home decor on both the blog and my Youtube channel.

Look at me taking one for the team and trying makeup so you don’t have to…lol

What started as a tool to market my image consulting services has turned into SO MANY opportunities for me down the line. In 2010, I quit my corporate job to work on this blog full time (watch my TSABD 10 series to hear some crazy stories and lessons learned after ten years blogging). This blog has taken me on numerous television shows (I’ll be on The Real today!), over ten countries and countless cities, got me featured in magazines like ESSENCE, Ebony, Cosmopolitan, and People StyleWatch, I’ve written for magazines and publications such as ESSENCE, Allure, Cosmo for Latinas, etc. and I’ve worked with SO MANY GREAT beauty and fashion brands over the years. (Read Danielle, What Do You Do Exactly?) The most amazing thing for me though is all of the readers I get to interact with online and even in-person at my events.

What has helped this blog be such a great resource is the interactions with my readers. When you guys leave comments or ask questions, it gets my gears turning for new content. So DON’T BE SHY! Leave comments and interact with me :)

And shout-out to my long-time readers! Ya’ll are the real MVPs and I love you like cooked food ;)
